The following is a process which ensures smooth transition from design to development within an estimated time frame:
Phase #1: Establishing Contact and Outlining Roles
- Establish only one point of contact between the company / group / individual and me
- Specify roles for all involved
- Specify and block dates for designer window and launch
Phase #2: Outlining Requirements and Resource Gathering
- All the requirements are outlined at this point
- I will be able to give my input to help you get the best out of our resources
- Any further requirements outlined after this point, during or after development will be charged separately. This is to ensure that the estimated working hours hold good
- I raise an invoice for the advance payment
- All data related to the project (designs, content, etc.) are transferred to me at this point
- Designs in Photoshop format will result in speedy development
Phase #3: Development + Designer Interaction
- Development begins
- A working link is provided, where the project is uploaded onto a staging server for you to check the progress
- Suggestions and feedback are greatly appreciated. It is important for you to get involved at this point
- This is the point where you and I work together to develop exactly what you want
- Depending on the milestones, invoices are raised
- With continuous feedback and support from you, the project is completed on time
Phase #4: Designer Window
- Designer goes through the web site and makes notes
- Designer sends a consolidated final list of changes within the time frame of the designer window
- Changes outside this window will be chargeable separately
Phase #5: Deployment
- Deployment of the project onto your server, if applicable
- Final files are handed over to you via the internet
- The final invoice is raised
Phase #6: Maintenance and Upgrades
- Maintenance and upgrades to sites must be scheduled in advance
